Cori Brewster
Cori was born and raised in the Rocky Mountain resort town of Banff Alberta, where the Brewster family has resided for over 120 years. She started singing with her mom and two sisters on Rocky Mountain trail rides which were run by her family. Despite her upbringing, Cori didn't pursue a career in music right away. Instead, she earned a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education in 1985 from the University of Alberta. Cori knew in her heart however, that she wanted to sing, so following Henry David Thoreau's saying: "Go confidently in the directions of your dreams", she did.
As fresh as a breath of Mountain air, this eclectic singer songwriter knits together strands of folk and roots country. Cori discloses passion and finesse in her songwriting. Her lyrics are rich with a strong Canadian flavour, to the landscape, personalities, and stories she tells.
