Jackie Treehorn
Jackie Treehorn is a funkadelic/soultastic/rockaphonic seven-piece soundstorm based in Vancouver, B.C.
Featuring lapslide and keys (Adam Kerby), sax (Lorick Russow), vocals (Ashley Robyn Slater, Chelsea Burden), bass (Nick Nixon), guitar (Kevin Sanders), and drums (Derek Van Deursen), Jackie Treehorn brings a lot of wallop to your earholes. The band squeezes all seven members for material, making the mix truly eclectic and exciting. Modern ideas to classic grooves: that's the JTH way.
But it doesn't stop there: JTH has been known to mix in the likes of P. Funk, Fleetwood Mac, Gnarls Barkley, Marvin Gaye, and Carole King to its list of homegrown grooves. A dance party is sure to break out when Jackie Treehorn hits the stage.
Jackie Treehorn has been gigging regularly since 2009, from regular Wednesday night stints on Main Street in Vancouver to outdoor festivals on the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. The band has just released its debut full-length album on June 25, which was followed by a highly successful B.C summer tour. They have returned to Vancouver to play piles of local shows and to continue spreading the gospel of JTH a little further each day...
